Istanbul International Harp Festival 14/19 Gennaio 2025
30 Settembre 2024Welcome to the website of the 2nd Ceren Necipoglu Istanbul International Harp Festival in Turkey, 14-19 January 2025. https://en.cnharpfestival.com
Join us in a wonderful week of adventure and festivities, where the harp will take centre-stage, and where we will celebrate our instrument in so many exciting ways. These include: harp competitions with two age categories, 12-17 and 18-24, with free choice, and one stunning set-piece in each age group. There is also a Chamber music competition for those 30 years or under.
The festival is honoured and indebted to all sponsors, whose names you will find on the website.
The jury’s aim is to create a great atmosphere in which young people can compete at ease, and enjoy playing, in the knowledge that their performances will be much appreciated. Everyone will be encouraged and inspired, as leading professional musicians share their knowledge with everyone in masterclasses and workshops, lectures and demonstrations. There are a limited number of spaces for both the competitions and the classes, so please sign up for these online, very soon.
DON’T FORGET THE DEADLINE OF 1ST DECEMBER 2024!!
There are harp concerts every evening, all open to the public. This festival will showcase the talent of the young, share expertise of professional harpists, and hopefully, be a source of inspiration for the future of music and the harp. OF COURSE, come and compete and participate, but even if you just love music, why not take a winter break and come to be part of the atmosphere in this amazingly intoxicating city of Istanbul!
