Goldberg Variations BWV988 arranged for two harp9 Settembre 2020
We are happy to present this carefully researched edition of the Goldberg Variations by J.S.Bach. This work is truly of a vast dimension in its length, difficulty and interpretative depth, and it represent a substantial undertaking for both performers and audiences. The original medium of this piece is for keyboard, and we decided to publish this arrangement as version for two harps. Since we have enjoyed so much working and playing together, we wanted to open up to other harpists the possibilities of performing this piece by sharing our edition in this publication.
After much research and consideration, we decided to make an abridged edition of the Goldberg Variations. We picked the variations that in our opinion best adapt to the harp, and we also made this selection with the aim of shortening the length of the piece.
The music of J.S.Bach is a pillar in a performer’s repertoire, and we believe you will have as much fun as we do in the performance of these selections of the Goldberg Variations.
